Nigel

I work for a regional BBC documentary called Inside Out.  I am researching a possible item about homophobic bullying in schools and I wonder whether Schools Out can offer any advice and assistance.  My main problem with be finding case studies - particularly finding a school who'd be willing to allow us to film.  I am in touch with Allsorts in Brighton - and they are approaching the schools they have worked with in the past.  Do any your members know of schools in Kent or East Sussex that might be prepared to let us film (in a sensitive way).   Are any of your members prepared to talk to us about their experiences?

When I did my PGCE I main a fuss that there wasn't anything in the course about dealing with homophobia or LGB issues in the curriculum.  Has teacher training improved in the last 20 years?

Any help, advice or guidance gratefully received.

Stephan
