I am pleased to be able to inform you that LGBT History Month has been nominated for the Advocacy Award in this year's Black LGBT Community Awards.

Nominations come from community members and I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate you. Voting is open to all and will commence on our dedicated site www.blgbt.com from Saturday 23rd August. Please encourage your friends and colleagues to visit the site and vote.

The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday 20th September in central London. The ceremony will include a three-course meal aboard a luxury thames Cruiser. We hope that you will be able to join us. . Please encourage your friends and colleagues to join us for what will be an empowering event.
