O cool, was it good, what do you look at?
Is it worth the £5? Re: Re: Re: Historical Walking Tours of Lesbian & Gay Soho

A friend of mine did it a couple of years ago and said I should do it too. I phoned them last summer, but they'd stopped doing them. Great to hear they're up and running again. Yes, I'd be up for it sometime.
The most amazing thing my mate found out was an account of a molly house community stoning soldiers to rescue a transvestite from the stocks! Stonewall the first LGBT riot in history? Not by 200 years! Pardon my xenophobia, but there's something satisfying about that ;-) Nige Re: Re: Re: Historical Walking Tours of Lesbian & Gay Soho

it seems to be very hit and miss depending on who your guide is. From what I gather (having spoken about it with someone from Kairos later on), they have so much information that the guide just selects what they want to talk about.
While I did learn a few things, there were also some glaring oversights (some of which related to the anniversary of decriminalisation which was the hot topic when I did the tour). Re: Re: Historical Walking Tours of Lesbian & Gay Soho
Just thought that you may get more of a response, and even from Kairos themselves if you were to post this article on the LGBT History Month forum instead.
