Nomination Form for elections to ACT Council

Would you like to stand for nomination to ACT’s Council? Or nominate someone?

ACT’s council is comprised of Citizenship practitioners from Primary, Secondary and post-16 education. They help set the work agenda for ACT for the year, inputting teaching expertise, highlighting potential problems and areas where ACT can provide extra support for Citizenship.

Citizenship specialists and non-specialists welcome!

ACT Council meets 4 times a year and, if elected, each member will be expected to attend at least 3 of these meetings. Meetings have previously been arranged in London in the afternoon; however the new council members may wish to change this to suit them better.

ACT is a charity and is answerable to a Board of Trustees who meet twice a year and also to our members. We have two full-time and one part-time paid staff who carry out the work set by Trustees and Council Members as well as the day to day running of the organisation and delivering specific projects.

Elections will take place during the 2007-8 AGM on Monday 30th June.
