Dear colleagues
I’m really pleased to let you know that Alex Tomlin, Report’s editor, has won the UK round of a European Commission journalism competition for his story on homophobia and heterosexism.
Alex’s story was selected as the UK winning entry in the ‘For Diversity. Against Discrimination’ European Journalist Awards by a panel of civil society representatives, anti-discrimination experts and journalists. His article will now be entered into the second stage of the awards where he will compete with the winning entries from other EU member states.
Results of the EU-wide contest will be announced in the first half of 2009.
